Valentina Lozano, MD, is an ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at Los Angeles Glaucoma Group in Culver City, California.

Dr. Lozano graduated from the prestigious Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery fellowship, where she was mentored by world-renowned physician Dr. Ike Ahmed at the University of Toronto. During her training, she acquired knowledge and skills in all aspects of glaucoma and anterior segment care, including the latest minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), as well as all traditional glaucoma surgeries.

She graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at the University of South Florida, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and earned the Undergraduate Scholar Award. She later attended the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, where she served as President of the American Medical Student Association. Dr. Lozano completed her residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Florida and was awarded 1st place at the Florida Society of Ophthalmology Resident Research Competition.

Dr. Lozano was born in Santiago, Chile, and is fully bilingual. She is passionate about ophthalmology and was recently recognized as a Rising Eye Star. During her training, Dr. Lozano began to use digital and social media tools to create a new community of ophthalmologists. The experiences, tips, and resources she shares continue to be well received by ophthalmologists and experts around the world. She also became an active speaker at multiple ophthalmology conferences. During her residency, she led annual health outreach trips to help the underserved in Mérida, Mexico.

Dr. Lozano is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

She shares our philosophy of treating patients as we would our own family members and is committed to providing expert and compassionate care to our patients.
